Parts
I guess it would be appropriate to show a piece of the plans and some of the parts we have to generate. We decided to look at current seaplanes (floatplanes) to see what the attachments look like and what we would need to construct to handle both floats and traditional landing gear. A friend has a Piper Cub on floats that we used as a guide. We also looked at a DeHavilland Beaver and Glastar. Once cut, a jig was assembled to hold the pieces in alignment so that Becky could tack them. We'll weld them later when the landing gear is assembled. This assures a good fit and makes it easier to remove the gear and install the floats.
